About Ketu

We design lines starting from our own coating factory experience

Ketu Coating Line is based in Foshan, China, specializing in engineering and manufacturing electrostatic powder coating lines. Unlike suppliers who only supply equipment, we operate multiple powder coating lines ourselves, running real production for metal furniture, cabinets and aluminum profiles. The experience we gain every day on our own lines is fed back into our line designs.

Today we serve customers in China, Southeast Asia, North America, Japan and other regions with end-to-end services: process consulting, plant layout planning, equipment manufacturing, export packing, overseas installation and training. Whether you are building your first powder line or upgrading an existing line for higher capacity and lower energy consumption, we help you calculate throughput, labor and operating cost before deciding the right configuration.

Factory & Manufacturing Capability

We build every line as if it were our own

Our workshop is equipped with sheet metal fabrication, welding, grinding, assembly and electrical control departments. We produce spray booths, curing ovens, pretreatment tanks, conveyors and control panels in-house. For export projects, we pre-assemble and test major sections in our factory before shipment, ensuring faster installation and commissioning at your site.

Key capabilities overview

  • · Line length range: 30 m – 200 m+, customized height and turning radius for your plant.
  • · Control system: frequency-controlled conveyor, zoned temperature control, energy monitoring and remote support.
  • · Quality control: weld inspection on key joints, oven insulation test, recorded oven temperature curves.
  • · Export packing: modular sections, steel-wood pallets, rust protection suitable for sea shipment and crane unloading.

* Share your expected line length and basic dimensions, and we can advise on foundation details and anchor positions.

Customers & On-site Photos

We prefer to stand beside the line and talk with you

Many projects are not finalized in a trade show booth, but beside your production line. Our engineers are used to standing under the hangers or at the oven entrance, using real parts and measurements to discuss takt time, dimensions and bottlenecks together with you.

Typical Project Cases

Different industries, one coating line that performs

These representative projects help you quickly see which configuration is closer to your own situation.

Outdoor furniture line in operation

Case 01 · Metal furniture factory

Multi-color quick change

Industry / Region: Outdoor furniture · Southeast Asia

Challenges

  • · Limited building height, old line often blocked and unbalanced.
  • · Frequent color changes, long downtime for each color change.

Ketu solution

  • · Re-designed hangers and conveyor routing to increase parts per hour.
  • · Selected high-efficiency powder booth with fast color change and good recovery.

Results

  • · Line capacity increased by around 30%.
  • · Color change time reduced to about one-third of the original; better powder utilization.

Case 02 · Cabinet manufacturer upgrade

Heavy-duty load

Industry / Region: Electrical cabinets & enclosures · Supplying North America

Challenges

  • · Large and heavy products, high risk in manual handling.
  • · Strict local energy-saving and environmental requirements.

Ketu solution

  • · Heavy-duty overhead conveyor with reinforced turns and lifting points.
  • · Gas-fired curing oven with zoned temperature control and optimized insulation.

Results

  • · Fewer operators on the line, lower handling risk.
  • · Lower energy consumption per part, easier to pass local audits.
Outdoor furniture line in operation

Case 03 · Aluminum profiles for Japan

Anti-shielding

Industry / Region: Architectural aluminum profiles · Export to Japan

Challenges

  • · Poor powder coverage on sharp edges and inner cavities, film thickness uneven.
  • · Very tight requirements on surface appearance, color difference and weather resistance.

Ketu solution

  • · Adjusted gun angles, voltage curve and hanger design to reduce shielding.
  • · Added more temperature monitoring points in curing oven to ensure uniform profile temperature.

Results

  • · Export batch pass rate significantly improved, fewer complaints.
  • · Stable process parameters can be reused for repeat orders.
Frequently Asked Questions

12 questions purchasing and engineering teams ask most often

These questions come up in almost every powder coating line project. You can get a fairly complete first impression here.

1. What information do you need from us before making a quotation? +

Ideally: product photos or drawings, maximum and minimum workpiece size and weight, daily or per-shift output target, plant layout (with columns and clear height), and planned powder type and number of colors. With this data we can estimate line length, oven size and budget range more accurately.

2. What is the typical investment range for a powder coating line? +

The investment can vary a lot depending on automation level, capacity and process configuration. After understanding your real needs, we normally provide 2–3 configuration options with different budgets, so you can balance capacity, energy consumption and investment.

3. Can you only supply part of the line, for example just booth or oven? +

Yes. We can supply turnkey lines or single equipment like booths and ovens. For partial upgrades, we still suggest reviewing your existing line, takt time and bottlenecks to ensure the new equipment can really deliver the expected improvement.

4. How long does it take from order confirmation to line start-up? +

For normal projects, from technical confirmation and drawing approval to production, shipment and on-site installation, it usually takes about 2–4 months. The exact schedule depends on project size and your local construction readiness. If you have a fixed deadline, please mention it early in our discussions.

5. Do you provide overseas installation and commissioning? +

Yes. We can send engineers to your site for installation guidance and commissioning, or work together with your local installation team. Depending on project scale and budget, we can combine on-site visits, remote support or a “local contractor + Ketu engineering support” model.

6. How do you evaluate energy consumption and gas usage of the line? +

Energy consumption depends on part size, line length, oven type and insulation quality. At the proposal stage we provide estimated power and gas consumption and additional energy-saving options (zoned temperature control, insulation upgrades, etc.) to help you plan operating costs.

7. Can one line handle several different product types? +

In most cases yes. When designing, we consider both your current products and planned future products. With proper hanger design, hanger spacing and adjustable conveyor speed, multiple product types can be coated on the same line, reducing changeovers and new investment.

8. If our capacity grows in future, can the line be expanded? +

Yes. We normally plan expansion possibilities from the beginning, such as conveyor extension points, oven extension space or extra spray positions. When your volume increases, the line can be upgraded on the existing base instead of building a brand-new line.

9. Can you work together with our powder and pretreatment chemical suppliers? +

Absolutely. We are happy to coordinate with your powder and pretreatment suppliers, aligning line parameters and chemical windows so that the whole system (equipment + chemistry + operation) works stably.

10. What is your warranty and after-sales support policy? +

Standard warranty is 12 months for equipment (excluding consumables and human damage). During warranty we provide parts and remote technical support. After warranty, we continue supplying spare parts and paid technical services to keep your line stable in the long run.

11. Can you help us with plant layout planning? +

Yes. Even if you are not ready to decide final line length, we can propose several layout options based on your building structure. This helps you reserve space, foundation and service routes in advance, making future line installation much easier.

12. I only have a rough idea now. Can you still make a preliminary proposal? +

Yes. You can send us your basic product information and a simple plant sketch first. Our engineers will prepare a preliminary concept and budget range so you can discuss internally and move forward step by step.
