Why Aluminum Is Different
Aluminum reacts instantly with oxygen, forming an invisible Al₂O₃ oxide layer (2-4 nanometers thick). This layer:
- ⚠ Blocks coating adhesion: Powder sits on top of oxide, not bonded to the metal
